The Hidden Valley Springs is a paradise that is awaiting to be discovered by you. Located between Mount Makiling and Mount Banahaw, Hidden Valley Springs is a haven for nature lovers. This is a place where you can have peace of mind and capture the undisturbed abundant greens, sounds of waterfalls and the beauty of natural attractions that could rejuvenate you. The road to Hidden Valley Springs leads right to the heart of the jungle and leads to the water falls. With a rustic architecture, Hidden Valley Springs blends right in with the natural jungle setting. The structures are made of wood, from the furnitures right up to the pathways which are made from molave railroad tiles that are recovered. Hidden Valley is place where time stops and Nature provides a relaxing show. Hidden Valley is a mountain resort sunk about 1,000 feet below sea level and harbors rare plants and animals. Eons ago, geologists believe, the cataclysmic eruption of Mt. Makiling and Mt. Banahaw created subterranean caverns around these now extinct volcanoes.
The main feature of the mountain resort is a waterfalls, natural springs and pools. There are at least six swimming pools that are naturally heated by volcanic rocks because the resort is a crater of an extinct volcano. Be ready to dip in the cool waters, constantly flowing from the mountaintop or take a swim in the naturally warm spring pools. In a more secluded area of the resort is the Lovers Pool. It is so concealed, you could unwittingly pass by it without knowing that you have missed it. Its pools can be reached by carefully treading your way down a narrow trail nearly one half kilometer long. It is hidden because it used to be a copper mine with a deep shaft which, after being abandoned, was left to the hundred of bats who found refuge in it during the day. The privacy it offers is the honeymooners’ dream come true. The Soda pool is so called because when the water was tested, it was found comparable to the Vicki and Fuji Waters of Japan. The massage springs, the coolest among the pools, have a forceful flow, one only need to get underneath the water to get a massage no different from the European spas. The twin springs give you a choice between cool and warm water.
To provide accommodations to visiting locals and tourists, the resort offers a choice of regular and deluxe casitas and regular and deluxe cottages. The rooms have a private toilet and bath with hot and cold shower, veranda or deck with a superb view of the natural gardens. It also includes welcome drinks, buffet lunch and dinner with full breakfast, afternoon snacks and full use of resort facilities. Other amenities of the resort are gazebos, air-conditioned dressing rooms, showers and lockers, darts, volleyball, mahjong and chess.
The Hidden Valley Springs has an al fresco restaurant that serves buffet lunch, merienda (snacks) and dinner. An in-house band of folk singers serenade guests on their tables during lunch and afternoon merienda. Overnight guests are given special treatment over day-trippers as they are given a separate menu of dishes. At night, weather-permitting, the tables and chairs are set up on the garden just beside the restaurant for a moonlit/starlit dinner. A bar/cafe can also be found just beside the souvenir shop, near the warm pools. Drinks and other purchases are not included in the selling rates stated herein.
